Lisa has been a practicing licensed acupuncturist and herbalist since 2011. She specializes and is certified in Sports Medicine Acupuncture® giving her additional training treating pain, discomfort, and injuries. In addition to treating musculoskeletal issues, she has experience with and enjoys treating a variety of health concerns including stress and mental health problems, digestive concerns, fatigue, migraines, insomnia, women’s health issues (infertility, PMS, menopause, and pregnancy support), and many others. She has also studied Cosmetic Acupuncture to aid clients in reducing fine lines and wrinkles and in evening out skin tone.

Lisa is trained to provide comprehensive care using Traditional Chinese Medicine which includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, and adjunctive techniques like cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, and meditation. She views all patients holistically to create individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs.

Lisa graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is licensed by the Pennsylvania and Virginia Board of Medicine to practice acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.

René has over 20 years of experience in therapeutic massage. A native of South Africa, she obtained her certification from Virginia Learning Institute in 2002 and has since become a practitioner here in the Commonwealth. She specializes in therapeutic massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, sports, prenatal, cupping, manual lymphatic drainage, and pediatric massage (through Liddle Kidz®).

Passionate about helping others reach optimal wellness, René provides personalized care to each client, tailoring her treatments to address specific concerns and promote relaxation and healing. “With my warm and compassionate demeanor, I create a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for each client.”

Dr. Katie Zimmerman grew up in Novi, Michigan, and has worked as a Chiropractor since 2004. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and attended Logan College of Chiropractic. She is a licensed Chiropractor in both Michigan and Virginia.

Dr. Zimmerman became interested in Chiropractic following an injury while running cross country and track her freshman year of college. She went to numerous doctors and had various treatments for her back and hip pain with no relief. She eventually ended up at a Chiropractic office which dramatically helped and allowed her function and sleep without pain. After taking several years off from running, she ran several half and full marathons. Following a ski accident in 2018 she has stopped running and now enjoys yoga, biking and long walks.

Dr. Zimmerman enjoys helping her patients live a healthier, pain-free life. She treats every patient as a unique individual. She is a certified health coach, and has a great interest in nutrition and lifestyle changes to improve overall health. She also takes a special interest in women’s health issues and is certified in Webster technique. She enjoys helping families reach and sustain their health goals through Chiropractic care.
